It’s Hogmanay 1953 in a Glasgow Steamie (the washhouse) and we spend the evening in the company of Dolly, Magrit, Doreen and the Blessed Mrs Culfeathers as they gossip, reminisce and share their hopes, fears dreams for the future. This brilliantly funny and poignant piece of theatre has probably been seen by more people than any other Scottish play. The definition of a ‘classic’.
